Upon multiple screenings, it is hard to not feel a lingering feeling of familiarity with these characters. While intentionally undeveloped, the characters in Annihilation serve as a vehicle to reflect the nature of life, and when we are told we must live it in its entirety; the inevitability of self-destruction.
