Review of Annihilation (2018) by Ginak — 26 Feb 2018
I thought this movie was very mediocre. There was no chemistry between Natalie Portman and Oscar Isaac, and none between her and the other women in the expedition, all of whom were more interesting as actresses and as characters.
The “monsters” were very derivative – I had time to think about all the other movies I had seen that were better (for example, all the Alien movies) and the alien area (or whatever) was not very creative either.
I was not bored, but I wasn’t very interested or excited either. A great disappointment after "Ex Machina".
