Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Jeremy B — 23 Jan 2012
I do not know why I waited so long to get into old Woody Allen, but boy I am glad I got into it with this one. What's so good about it is that it's real. It's truly genuine. It seems as though this had to have happened to him in the real world, and that his humor about it all was real, and the words were genuine.
The heartbreak and the love that preceded it were organic, the anecdotes borrowed. It was a true story, at least, it felt like it.
