Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Jeffrey M — 29 Jan 2012
One of, if not the, most highly regarded films from Woodey Allen (currently ranked in IMDB's top 250), Annie Hall is a tremendously funny movie. It centers around an authentic and relatable romance, and features some of Allen's best humor. A little too gimmicky, often breaking the fourth wall, and perhaps a little dated with all the pop references of the 70s, I don't consider it Allen's best work overall, but definitely one of his strongest comedies.
4/5 Stars.
