''I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That's the two categories. The horrible are like, I don't know, terminal cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don't know how they get through life. It's amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else. So you should be thankful that you're miserable, because that's very lucky, to be miserable.''.

Neurotic New York comedian Alvy Singer falls in love with the ditsy Annie Hall.

Woody Allen: Alvy Singer.

Diane Keaton: Annie Hall.

Well just caught this ''classic'' on Sky and Annie Hall was a pleasant surprise on the whole. Not really a fan of Woody Allen but sometimes he does have some compelling ideas and films.

I think AH lives up to being one of his best I've been able to sit through and pick up different things from enticing dialogue albeit irritating in places to some really imaginative sequences where conversations take place with random characters that just appear out of the blue, this is a style which I liked.

Obviously AH is a love story and one which shows a relationship between two kindred spirits.

Diane Keaton performance really is lovely as is Woody Allen if what sometimes overbearingly irritating in places where he tends to whine incessantly.

Christopher Walken, and even Jeff Goldblum makes a blink and you miss it appearance.

All in all it's a journey which will interest if you enjoy dialogue and get it's jokes, but maybe not for everyone depending what your humour is like.

A personal detailed insight into a couple and their relationship and life.
