Many remakes either succeed or fail, but in the case of this abomination it fails on nearly every level. It disgusts me on how this film took a decent story that, while it has been dragged through the mud, it was still able to produce a good film, and then crapped upon it.

The film suffers from clichés and pandering to the children audience. The only shining light is the semi likable performances from the cast, but other than that, this is a movie to pass up.
