Review of Annie (2014) by Rebekah D — 22 Feb 2015
The original Annie movie did not win critics over, which just the same happened this time around, which I don't understand why in either case. Annie was due for a reboot for the new generation (which I still think they should also see original).
I enjoyed the film and for the casting Fox was a good choice, however his performance fell under expectations. I myself am a fan of Rose and enjoyed her in this. I just think her and Fox missed that chemistry, which I blame more so Fox or the director.
Cameron Diaz lacked the evil but likable Mrs. Hannigan. For me she was easily the weak link in the film.
