In an effort to make this tale of a depression era orphan's adventures relevant, it's been updated. Everything that made this story engaging has been carefully removed. All the songs that were so popular have actually been rewritten in order to wipe away melody and lyric.
What's left is obviously a committee project where all involved aimed for the lowest common denominator.
