Review of Anne of the Thousand Days (1969) by Kyle B — 06 Jul 2015
It takes some time to find it's footing but once the meatiness of the movie kicks in it is truly captivating thanks to the stellar performances from Richard Burton, Genevieve Bujold, and John Colicos.
The costumes, score, production design, art direction, and hair design are all extraordinary like many period pieces of its time. It's well written and has an interesting story within a tired topic often made during this time of Henry VIII with A Man For All Seasons only a few years before.
