Review of Anne of the Thousand Days (1969) by Hilary V — 09 Jul 2008
Genevieve Bujold is absolutely fantastic as Ann Boleyn, and certainly makes up for Richard Burton's portrayal of a meek loverboy Henry VIII who blames Ann for everything. A little cliché at times, and at other times historically inaccurate (Henry VIII did not visit Ann in the tower, for example), it still is an excellent portrayal of the life of Ann Boleyn.
