Review of Anne of Green Gables (1985) by Richard-Yves S — 08 Jan 2008
Earthier than a ripe Oka, sharper than an aged Cheddar, this is perhaps Canada's finest cheese. Ok, ok, that's unfair. Even I'll admit that you'd have to be pretty stuck in the mud not to be won over by Anne Shirley.
Follows does a fine job, though her incipient babeness (much like Emma Watson's at the beginning of the Potter saga) is kind of distracting. But how about that Colleen Dewhurst? Could she bring a football coach to tears or what?
