I remember reading the book in the 6th grade in Mrs. Emerson's class at H.E. McCracken Middle School on Hilton Head Island. It was one of the best books I've ever read and even more enjoyable to watch the movie.
Since then I've watched the entire series on pbs numerous times over. Wholesome, inspiring, uplifting, clean,and simply "excruciating"!!! LOLOLOL. LOVE IT!!! A must read for EVERY child.
