Megan Follows was perfectly cast for the roll and completely owns Anne Shirley for a generation and maybe more. She captured the saucy character of a young orphan with a runaway imagination who was thrown into a house with a bitter spinster and her kind and unassuming brother Matthew Cuthbert.
