Review of Annabelle: Creation (2017) by Jason S — 18 Aug 2017
The story and various character choices do not stand the test of daylight and the walk back through the parking lot to the car, but suspend reality for 2hrs and have a damned good time getting the shit repeatedly scared from your bowels.
This is the scariest entry in either of the Conjuring or Annabelle franchises. By far. It's far better than the first Annabelle.
I do wish they had simply told the parents story...that alone could have been an entire movie and could have toed the line between "is this actually supernatural" or "is this grief and broken minds", which would have been much closer to reality and to me, far scarier than "the devil is gonna getcha".
