Review of Annabelle: Creation (2017) by Miranda Z — 19 Aug 2017

Surprisingly scary - except that this only happens because of the unexpected timing of the frequent jump scares. Other than that, Annabelle: Creation suffers from an uninspired (and all-too-noticeable) soundtrack, boring character design and beyond-idiotic characterisation. It doesn't help that prequels of prequels (aka creation stories) are never much fun.

Good for a light scare with a friend, but shut your brain off and try to immerse yourself.
