Mediocre 'b' horror film that should have gone straight to dvd.

A nun and a bunch of sweet,nice orphan girls take up residence in a creepy giant house straight out of Evil Dead as guests of a creepy gruff miserable man and his crippled wife.

As soon as they get there the film starts running thru the list of timeworn horror cliches with a bunch of jump scares.

Nothing really makes any sense that they do. There are no strong characters to oppose the annabelle creature so the girls are just fish in a barrel and scream a lot .

I thought the nun might be a help but she was also weak.

The owner and his wife are useless as well.

The film characters are all really forgettable so you won't remember their faces after you leave the theatre.

The Conjuring was such a good film that these spin-offs look even worse because of it.

Of course the ending sets up the usual possible sequel.

Couldn't have cost much to make because the special effects were below average.
