Review of Annabelle: Creation (2017) by Chris F — 10 Aug 2017
Annabelle: Creation is way better than it should've been, mostly because of director David F. Sandberg. The film's cast is really good. The child actors are great in the film. The film has some good scares in it.
Sandberg knows how to direct horror, as seen with Lights Out, and it shows here. There is also some creepy imagery. The film does have some problems though. The film's script has some bad dialogue.
Most of it's fine, but some of it is terrible. Also, the characters make extremely dumb decisions. The kids are sometimes better than the adults. The end of the film also goes a little too overboard.
It won't get into details, but it was a little dragged out. The film also is a little too long. The beginning is slow, and as previously stated, the end is dragged out. Overall, it probably sounds like a hated this movie, but I didn't.
It has its problems, but for the most part it is entertaining horror that is way better than the horrendous first film.
