Not only did Annabelle fail to live up to the expectation of it's predecessor, but it actually tainted the series. While the Annabelle doll in The Conjuring was gripping, and effectively creepy, the back story of Annabelle was irrelevant, uneccesary, and ridiculous.
A weak attempt at reviving the franchise, full of lame scare tactic cliche's, and stunk of a throw it together money maker. I sincerely wish that, Annabelle, was never made into a feature film.
