Review of Annabelle (2014) by Lamesjees — 12 Oct 2014
This movie was good October, Halloween fun. It's nowhere near as good as the Conjuring, but it does a pretty good job of giving the backstory much more depth. There's little CGI used throughout the film too and a lot of the scares here are done using old-school methods - creaking chairs, lingering shots etc.
It's nothing you haven't seen before, but it's got a few cool scares and ties into the first film nicely. A good Halloween movie.
