Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Stefano L — 07 Mar 2013
I don't like read the book after having watched the movie. In this case maybe it's not a big problem, because the history is simple enough that the vision of the movie doesn't spoiler anything, and maybe you don't get disappointed if you expected something different at the beginning.
Well, the point is: if it's difficult take out something from the point of view of the story, because of course it's that and can't be changed, they could at least try to make it more interesting. But all this passion and love and attraction is showed in a way that it's not soo strong, and personally I haven't felt involved. Nothing to say regarding the scenographies and the costumes, really amazing, and on the original and really particular way in which the director managed to link every single scene to the following, with really nice camera movements and tricks that added something really particular to the film.
