Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by George P — 10 May 2013
Honestly, I was expecting a little more, especially from Kiera and Jude. This was just another adultery flick, just set in the early 1900s Russia, using a different technique. The technique used here involved a stage and theatre.
In most of the scenes throughout this film, and actual stage was used, sort of a segue to start a new scene, or used to add extra scenery to an existing theme. Some of the extra characters and story added strain the attention to the main storyline.
Just because all the characters know each other, think Ven diagram, doesn't mean we have to follow them all. Like I stated before, I was thinking this was going to be something better, or something else at least.
