Review of Ankur: The Seedling (1974) by Heather K — 06 Jul 2008
This film has a meditative approach to story telling that allows the story to unfold without explication. It is an excellent, timeless story performed with restraint. There are only a few minor clues to date the film.
The characters are complicated and compelling. The pace, low key acting, and documentary quality (yet beautiful) cinematography lend authenticity to the drama.
