Review of Anjaana Anjaani (2010) by Mayank M — 03 Oct 2010
I had high expectations from Sid following the fantastic Salaam Namaste and its fair to say Ii was pleasantly surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the movie. The pacing of the story allowed you to grow with the character's life to the point that you actually feel the love growing between them.
Whilst gay jokes have become some what clichéd within bollywood movies, I felt Sid's treatment was refreshing especially Ranbir's leopard night gown look.
Priyanka's opening scene was hilarious and the once again Sid's interpretation of a drunk person has to be commended. Suffice to say the interjection of the songs really helped move the story along and the treatment of Tujhe Bhula Diya successfully bought a tear to my eye.
Ranbir is a natural and keeps growing with each film and its always a pleasure to see Priyanka bring life to a character. Its a must watch flick as far as I am concerned and really allows you to get into the complicated minds of the two characters and their journey to live life.
