Review of Animal Kingdom (2010) by Kevin B — 15 May 2013

This is an all-around dark film. No way around that. It approaches its subject matter with a gritty, straightforward method. It's got some great acting bits in it, especially Weaver and Mendolsohn.

The script is good too, and the direction and cinematography are also on point. Only issue I have with the film, and it's not really a issue, it's just I can't see myself watching it again.

It's a depressing, dark film that left me empty inside. Which was it's intent, I'm sure. Still, well-made film.
