Review of Animal Kingdom (2010) by Nathan B — 28 Mar 2011

Loved the naturalism and simplicity of the production. As this film contains many layers of character development and parallel plot lines, it made sense to just let the scenes unfold in front of the camera without an overbearing presence of the film makers stamping their authority on screen.

This is what happens when a solid script undergoes years of planning, reviewing, re-drafting and careful consideration. Finally a decent film to come out of Australia, long overdue.
