Review of Animal Crackers (1930) by Masorad ( — 22 Mar 2009
The Kaufman-scripted parodies of "Strange Interlude", as delivered by Groucho, perfectly skewer the portentous and overwrought soliloquies in O'Neill's play. The film also gave Groucho his theme song, "Hurray For Captain Spaulding.
" And: "We took some pictures of the native girls, but they weren't developed. But we're going back again in a couple of weeks.".
