Angry video Game Nerd: The Movie (2014) C-115m. ? 1/2 D: Kevin Finn, James Rolfe. James Rolfe, Jeremy Suarez, Sarah Glendening, Bobby Reed, Stephen Mendel, Helena Barrett, Time Winters. The Nerd's indulgent, lowbrow swing at a low-budget, effects-driven feature film is a hit or miss affair.

Gaming company learns the more a video game is bad the better the sales, so they devise Eee Tee 2, a sequel to "the world's worst video game". Widely uneven parable goes askew all too soon with sporadic bursts of plot and a disappointing quantity of vulgar .

. . not to mention laughs. Only the presence of James keeps things somewhat watchable, but film drags on forever. On the plus side, there are some pretty funny cameos by AVGN regulars; Nerd fans may want to rate this ?? for the sake of curiosity.

Finn co-wrote the screenplay with Rolfe. In any event, a bummer.
