Review of Angels with Dirty Faces (1938) by Noel B — 06 Nov 2008
A tough gangster film, tautly directed by Michael (Casablanca) Curtiz which follows the lives of two slum kids who follow different paths in life-one becoming a hood, the other a priest. James Cagney is superb as hood and Pat o'Brien does a star turn as the priest the Dead End Kids are also around.
