Review of Angels & Demons (2009) by Kamamura — 19 Feb 2019
The usual pseudo-esoteric, babbling thriller Umberto Eco made fun of in his Foucault's Pendulum. A professor making wild guesses and constantly running somewhere, because that's how you do research, a structure stolen from the movie Seven together with the unnecessary and disgusting naturalism, failed attempts to convince the audience that the Church is in fact hip and cool, also not enough kung fu.
Also, one female physicist playing the role of Dr. Watson chosen purely for her looks, and Galileo writing secret messages in modern American English. I hope you did not have to pay to see this.
