Review of Angel Heart (1987) by Brad B — 07 Jan 2008

This is a quite a little twisted flick.I must admit when I first saw it I was completely sucked in by DeNiro! Never caught on to Louis Saffure till it was obvious late in the movie.

Sort of the dark evil twisted version of "It's a Wonderful Life" or "Let's Make A Deal With The Devil.".

This was done before Mickey Rourke spun out and was still a rising star.

Not for the faint hearted there is definitely some graffic shit in this flick.

This movie blends several genres making it quite unique. It's a supernatural horror flick, and a good film noir detective movie.

DeNiro's elegant understated charactorization works so well!
