Review of Angel Heart (1987) by Ville I — 24 Feb 2009
Revisiting this old classic shows that even if some parts have been a bit outdated (the saxophone track - ghh), it still keeps kicking ass and taking names. De Niro and Rourke shine on and the feeling of dread is very nicely there.
One of Parker's best films and there are never enough occult thrillers in the world. Also, in 1987, the twist ending was a newer concept.
