From the cover and title, one has little idea what they are getting into. Won't you be surprised when you come to find it is a not-quite remake of It's a Wonderful Life. If you enjoyed It's a Wonderful Life, you'll no doubt enjoy this as well.
All the acting is excellent, the choice of black and white is used to great effect, the ambiguity of the story telling keeps things fascinating and I never found myself distracted. Is it better than It's a Wonderful Life? No, probably not, but it does what it does well and is in many ways on par with its inspiration.
Though it may run a little thin at times, I loved it from beginning to end.
