Review of Angel-A (2005) by Jacek S — 21 Jan 2008
Cute but emotionally implausible French film where the protagonist receives his "Deus ex Machina" at the beginning of the story and proceeds to whine and undo all the solutions the angel presents.
The main character was pretty lame with a lot of unanswered questions (like why was this really annoying clueless person even picked to be saved?) and unrealistic divine rules for the sake of plot. It was kinda' cute to watch -- if you put away any intelligence and watch with your heart.
I'd recommend CITY OF ANGELS or WINGS OF DESIRE instead of watching this.
