Review of And Then There Were None (1945) by Jennifer B — 27 Nov 2009
Probably the most referenced or parodied scenario when it comes to murder mysteries. Ten strangers are invited to an island by a sinister overseer, but then they start dying off one by one. Who is the killer? And why?
The movie crafts some excellent tensions between the characters, and lots of twists keep you on your toes as potential suspects become victims. The movie is apparently based on Agatha Christie's play rather than her book, and the ending is changed to a more 'Hollywood' style ending. I'll have to check out other mediums to see.
An excellent murder mystery film full of suspense and mystery.
