Review of And Then There Were None (1945) by Haytham K — 26 Sep 2010
Famous murder mystery based on one of Agatha Christie's best novels. Ten people are invited to a remote island to spend a weekend with an unknown host. On arrival the invitees their mysterious host warns them by a phonograph record that he will punish them for past crimes they have committed.
Though the subject is dark, there is considerable humor injected throughout. I enjoyed the film but I think that Barry Fitzgerald was hugely miscast as the scheming judge/murderer, he looks too clownish and can't convince that he's a sinister murderer.
