Review of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) by Steve S — 03 Mar 2013

Anchorman had its moments but I found the film for the most part annoying. Farrell (Ancherman Rob Burgundy) plays the same character as he's played in other films (such as Talladega Nights) albeit with subtle changes to suit the story.

Same with others, such as Fred WIllard and David Keochner. Its pretty sad that only Burgundy's dog and Steve Carrell's dimwitted weatherman were able to draw a chuckle from me. Christina Applegate plays the Burgundy's rival and love interest.

.. although, seriously, she performed as if she herself had no interest in being in this film in the first place.
