Review of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) by Rj M — 24 Aug 2013
I have always found Will Ferrell to be a mediocre comedian who plays the same character in every movie. Anchorman further demonstrates this fact. This is a painfully unfunny comedy that many have praised to be a "classic".
Why? I will never understand. I enjoyed it the the first time, and the with each viewing the jokes become annoying and irritating. The only funny aspect to this movie is Steve Carell but even then, his jokes are becoming stale and dumb.
David Koechner's character is the worst of them all and everything he says is just painfully unfunny. Anchorman is another run in the mill Will Ferrell vehicle and if you hate his comedies (like I do), then I strongly recomend you skip this trash.
It really isn't worth time.
