Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Gwen D — 27 Jul 2008
Absolutely brilliant courtroom drama which broke some docial taboos - dealing a suspected rape and using words such as 'spermatozoa' which is fifties' America was unheard of. James Stewart was meant for his role as the small town lawyer who has to take on slick city prosecution attorneys.
George C Scott is a prosection attorneys and his role here is one of my favourites in all his films.
