Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Frédéric I — 22 May 2009
I really enjoyed this movie. I was a little leery when I saw it was close to three hours long, but it really didn't feel like it at all. The story had a nice progression and the acting was wonderful.
You really can't go wrong with Jimmy Stewart. The courtroom drama is one of the best I've seen next to Inherit the Wind. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is that the ending wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but that's just me and not a reflection of the movie.
The music was great, highlighted with a cameo by Duke Ellington on the piano. I definitely recommend this one.
