Review of Analyze That (2002) by Nigel L — 06 Aug 2009
One of the things that made Analyze This a great movie was the fact that Crystal was terrified of DeNiro and yet forced into helping him because of intimidation. In this movie, you have the same characters but without the chemistry of intimidation.
These two characters only work within the plot of the original when you have DeNiro taking part in a heist and Crystal trying to stop him, it loses the entertainment value. This movie has its moments, like DeNiro's singing of West Side Story and the hyperventilating scene; however, in the end this turned out to be just another average comedy.
