Review of Analyze That (2002) by Ruhan R — 08 Oct 2011
Analyze That proved to be almost as entertaining as it's predecessor. Considering the usual reputation for comedy sequels it wasn't as bad as I expected, but it just didn't pack the same punch as the first one.
Casting was not an issue, all of the performers did really well in their roles, and seeing more of Lisa Kudrow was kind of nice. The script was solid enough, featuring a good blend of drama and comedy.
Harold Ramis' directing was on point for sure, and the writing team didn't fail to assemble a strong script. The only reason I enjoyed this one just a bit less than the first was because the characters were more fresh to me, other than that Analyze That was very entertaining.
