Review of Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004) by Steve S — 20 Apr 2010
** (out of four).
A strictly average sequel that is a little better than its predesessor, but still fails mainly due to its predictable premise and unoriginal delivery.
The blood orchid is a flower that only blooms once every seven years, and wouldn't you know it, it only blooms in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. The journey means avoiding the giant anaconda snakes that live throughout the jungle.
The effects are so-so and the acting okay. No one leaves much of an impression. If watching attractive people get attacked by snakes is your thing than this is for you! But, if not, you will largely annoyed.
