Review of An Unfinished Life (2005) by Nigel M — 13 Aug 2010
Thoroughly enjoyed this. When Lopez first arrives at Redford's ranch having been beaten by the ever impressive Damien Lewis I thought 'for Christ's sake RR get your moody head out of your arse' but his resentment of her and the fact she has kept his grandaughter a secret becomes all too apparent and the reason why. Morgan Freeman plays a rather handy foil to redford too and this is a good old fashioned Sunday afternoon film involving twisted/damaged relationships and how we do/don't work them out.
Good stuff with Lopez actually quite good but the quality of the two main starts is fantastic.
