Review of An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) by Debo A — 09 Oct 2007
Richard Gere in his prime (check out the cocksure pose on the movie poster).
A foul-mouthed marine drill instructor (Lou Gosset Jr) attempts to bring out character in one of his recruits along with the signature 'love story' - this one will be a hit with the ladies, especially the final scene - I put my $5 on that!
Joe Cocker's "Up where we belong" also goes very well with the movie - not bad, not bad at all!
