I think this is not just the greatest romance of all time, but may also be one of the greatest films of all time. Words can't describe how good this film is. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, but for me it has everything: drama, romance, great acting, great direction, wonderful characters, and a peek into what it's like to train as a naval officer.
it's also a brilliant story.
