When Jerry Bruckheimer saw this he went "where's the bloody F-14's?" he went on to produce a better version of this film. I'm sure before top gun this was considered the best love story revolving around a maverick young trainee soldier, true but I kept execting Steve Guttenberg to pop his head up and pull that hilarious face of his.
glad I seen it but it hasn't aged as well as it's title track.
