Review of An Ideal Husband (1999) by Aaron W — 12 Nov 2008
This is my favorite Oscar Wilde play so I had hopes for it, but I never thought someone could adapt such a good play so badly and amateurishly. Horrible casting, especially Lord Goring. The most interesting character turned into the most lifeless robotic one despite having all the best lines.
A mummified corpse could read with more emotion. Though thats probably the directors fault with his sad generic vision of the play.
