Review of An Evening with Kevin Smith (2002) by Ville I — 21 Jun 2008
Even though I don't really like Smith's films, he does pass off as the everyman's movie director (a la Michael Moore) and has a lot of good stories to tell (plus a way to tell them well), so this compilation of his live appearances in various universites is a funny watch.
Some pretty bizarre queswtions are heard from the audience ("Can I suck your dick for $5?") and since he is mainly answering those you don't get the creeping feeling of listening to set-up pieces so evident with many other stand-up performances (doesn't make these any less set-up pieces though I guess :P).
Still, good one.
