Review of An Evening with Kevin Smith (2002) by Ryan V — 26 Mar 2012
Kevin Smith is best known for writing and directing a slew of chatty lowbrow comedies like Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. He parlayed his cult fame into a profitable side career on the collegiate lecture circuit and this documentary compiles several of these appearances.
Smith cracks wise with the college kids, answers a few questions about filmmaking, and tells plenty of amusing anecdotes about his life and career. While there's nothing too revelatory in these proceedings, fans of Kevin Smith's movies will be very pleased with this product.
