Review of An American Werewolf in London (1981) by Nathan B — 04 Jun 2011
(The subject of the John Wayne movie The Alamo comes up).
Jack: "Oh yeah, with Laurence Harvey and everyone dies in it. Very bloody.".
Chess player: Bloody awful if you ask me".
Another scene I really like is where David, a decomposed Jack, and David's victims (Gerald, Harry, Judith, and three homeless men) are sitting in a porn theater talking about how David should kill himself to destroy the werewolf bloodline and they all suggest the best method of suicide:
David: "How shall I do it?".
Judith: "Sleeping pills?".
Homeless man #1: "Not sure enough.".
David: "I could hang myself".
Jack: "If you did it wrong, it would be painful. You'd choke to death.".
Homeless man #3: "So what? Let `im choke.".
Jack: "Do you mind? The man's a friend of mine.".
Homeless man #3: "Well he ain't no friend to me".
Harry: "A gun".
Homeless man #1: "I know where he can get a gun.".
David: "Don't I need a silver bullet or something?".
Jack: "Be serious, would you?".
Harry: " A gun would be good".
Judith: "Yes, you just put the gun to your forehead and pull the trigger.".
Gerald: "If you put it in your mouth then you'd be sure not to miss.".
David: "Thank you, you're all so thoughtful.".
Homeless man #2: "A knife".
Harry: "An electric shock".
Judith: "A car crash".
Gerald: "You could throw yourself in front of a Tube" (Meaning a London tube train).
